Trust is spoken about in terms of strength
Like the heaviest of chain links
Making an unbreakable bond
Withstanding the test of time
In reality, trust is but the thinnest strand of a spider's webbing
That can be broken with the softest of whispers.
(Disclaimer: No, no one has broken my trust. Not lately anyway. It was just there in my brain and wanted to be shared.)
